Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau recently met with Donald Trump, who pledged to support Canada, whose political tensions with China are heightening.

This tension was sparked when Huawei executive Meng Wanzhou was detained in Vancouver in December, a request made by the US.

Following that, China detained two Canadians, ex-diplomat, Michael Kovrig, and businessman, Michael Spavor, accusing them of spying.

Trudeau expects the two Canadians detained in China will be addressed at the G20 meeting.
