Adrian Raedel, councillor for Moreton Bay, has been charged with official corruption, following an investigation by the Crime and Corruption Commission.
Raedel allegedly misused money, pre-paid travel, accommodation and advertising.
He was charged on Thursday morning with one count of official corruption.
