The UN accused Venezuela of using death squads to promote fear after a shocking number of alleged extrajudicial killings.

The UN will be presenting a report today with findings about the deaths the Venezuelan government has attributed to resisting arrest. The number goes up to 1569 by May this year.

The UN stated that Venezuela should end the grave violations of economic, social, civil, political and cultural rights. Nicolás Maduro’s administration has not responded to the report.
