Southern California has been shaken by a 6.4 magnitude earthquake, causing damage and fires.
The epicentre of the earthquake was near Ridgecrest, which is 240 km Northeast of Los Angeles.
The Ridgecrest Regional Hospital has been evacuated according to the Kern County Fire Department, and the service is busy addressing medical injuries and fires.
