Australia’s Defence Force Unclear Over Faulty Jet Compensation

Australia’s Defence Force says it’s unclear if they will be compensated over the American made jet that burst into fire while taking part in military exercises last year.

The $120 million EA-18G jet, newly delivered, presented a mechanical malfunction that forced the advanced warfare plane skid on a US runway before catching fire.

The Centre Alliance Senator Rex Patrick, says it’s extraordinary that after 18 months the Defence Department have not come to a conclusion on either replacing the aircraft or providing economical compensation to the ADF.
