Brisbane City Council voted down a motion regarding the development on a block of bushland at 67 Chapman Place Oxley.
Councillor Steve Griffiths moved the motion and urged the council to negotiate the sale of the land under the Bushland Acquisition Program.
“The land has significant flora and fauna, forms a wildlife corridor, and has previously been referred to the Bushland Acquisition Fund.” Cr Griffiths said.
