The Australian Government has expressed concern over a diplomatic deal between Ukraine and Russia, that has freed one of the key suspects in the downing of Malaysian Airlines flight MH17.
Australian Foreign Minister, Marise Payne took issue with a prisoner swap that occurred over the weekend between the two countries, which saw the suspect who was facing questioning in Ukraine being repatriated to Russia.
In a statement, Ms Payne said it would be disappointing for the families of victims if the suspect were to escape any penalties.
38 Australians were killed in the crash in July, 2014.
