Concerned local Annerley residents are planning to participate in a climate strike occurring on the 20th September at Queens Gardens.
It is expected that many people from across Brisbane will gather in the CBD for the Global Climate Strike.
Tom Cotter, one of the organisers of the Annerley movement, described the Global Climate Strike as a “community led event demanding our government deliver on climate action”.
Mr Cotter also said that they were co-ordinating with a local cafe owner to provide soup and hot drinks on the day.
