The Federal government is allocating an additional $15 million to clinical trials prioritising ovarian, cervical and fallopian cancer research, in order to improve survival rates for women across the country.
Over 2000 Australian women pass away as a result of gynaecological diseases each year.
$20 million was provided for general ovarian cancer research at the start of this year.
Health Minister Greg Hunt believes the additional funding will help to "increase hopeā¦real treatment and improve outcomes" for families across the nation.
