The Federal government is allocating an additional $15 million to clinical trials prioritising ovarian, cervical and fallopian cancer research, in order to improve survival rates for women across the country.
Over 2000 Australian women pass away as a result of gynaecological diseases each year.
$20 million was provided for general ovarian cancer research at the start of this year.
Health Minister Greg Hunt believes the additional funding will help to "increase hope…real treatment and improve outcomes" for families across the nation.
