After going missing 10 weeks ago, it's been revealed an Australian travel blogger couple are detained in a jail in Iran.
After reportedly making their way through the north of China after visiting Pakistan, Perth couple Jolie King and Mark Firkin were detained in the Evin jail in Iran, reportedly for flying a drone without a license.
“Our biggest motivation behind making the vlogs is to hopefully inspire anyone wanting to travel, and also try to break the stigma around travelling to countries which get a bad wrap (sic) in the media,” they said in a post on crowd-funding platform Patreon.
Iran has yet to comment on the arrests, but authorities told Ms King she was being held in the hope of a prisoner swap.
