The BBC has apologised to Prince Harry months after broadcasting and publishing an image from a neo-Nazi social group that called him a race traitor and depicted him with a gun pointed at his head.
The image included blood splatter and neo-Nazi symbols and was sourced from an online post on a far-right platform.
The BBC initially rejected a complaint by the duke, ruling that the use of the image in a report about the activities of the group was clearly in the public interest.
A spokesperson for the duke said the image caused his family great distress, especially during his wife’s pregnancy.
