North Korean negotiator Kim Myong Gil has stated that talks in Stockholm last Saturday broke down and unfulfilled expectations of the government as the US had come to negotiations with a hostile tone.

North Korea has claimed that the complete denuclearisation of the Korean Peninsula would only be possible when all threats to the nation's safety and development were clearly removed.

The Foreign Ministry in North Korea has since made a statement on Sunday, regarding the nuclear negotiations- claiming that they would not continue talks with the U.S, if they did not abandon their "old stance" and come to the table with a complete and irreversible withdrawal of hostile policy.
