Brisbane’s Murri School Claims that Six Day Camp Provides Emotional and Social Benefits

Brisbane's Murri School has demonstrated an immersive educational curriculum with their annual Humanities and Social Sciences bush camp, which takes students 11 hours from Brisbane, to a six day program out in nature.

The camp has been noted to provide measurable social and emotional benefits for the students, with outdoor recreational activities and cultural artwork activities taking place in partnership with Traditional Custodians.

Teacher Patrick McHugh has stated that the camps provide an opportunity for the students to experience a different way of life- claiming that the activities have aided in improving inter-peer and staff relationships.
