A South Australian tourist died after falling approximately 16 meters while ziplining at Jungle Surfing Canopy in Queensland yesterday.
Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours director, Phoebe Kitto told The Courier Mail she was unable to explain how the tragedy unfolded because they don’t know yet.
Ms Kitto said their condolences go out to the family, and that they are completely in shock at Jungle Surfing and are thinking of the family first and foremost.
The family of the tourist, Dean Sanderson, have released a statement thanking emergency services and the tremendous staff at Cairns Hospital.
The statement said, "We remember Dean as a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend to all".
