A man has died after he drowned in a Gold Coast lake yesterday, allegedly trying to flee an attempted robbery.
Police were called to a home on Bakehurst Place at around 11:30am yesterday in response to a call about a man trying to break into a home..
The alleged robber was interrupted by residents and fled to the lake.
Queensland Police said in a statement; “Investigations continue to establish the man’s identity. The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
