The Bureau of Meteorology stated that despite better fire conditions today due to an influx of moisture brought in by a sea breeze, this coming Tuesday and Wednesday is expected to see severe and extreme ranges in fire behaviour.
Seven fires, located near Yeppoon in the Central Queensland have been severe, with warnings issued for people to leave.
The Bureau stated that no rain is on the radar, with the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) confirming that 47 fires are burning across the state, and that hundreds of firefighters will stay on the field to combat the blazes.
