NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian has expressed her relief that no lives were lost during the catastrophic fire conditions on Tuesday, but has warned that the state is not out of the danger zone yet.
NSW remains in a state of emergency as firefighters face more than 80 fires blazing across the state this morning, with the fire front now extending across 1,000 kilometres.
At least 50 properties were lost as the state faced high temperatures and strong winds yesterday, but the Premier said it could have been much worse considering the enormity of these fires.
