The Charities and Not-for-profits Commission has decided to strip the organisation Aussie Farms of its charitable status.

Aussie Farms is an animal activist group that runs a website listing the personal details of thousands of Australian farming families and encouraging activists to take part in farm invasions.

The group’s creator, Chris Delforce, said “We will of course be appealing it [the decision] on the basis that it was clearly not a decision made independently by the ACNC, but instead under the heavy influence of the very industry our organisation has exposed extreme and at times illegal cruelty within.”

Federal Member for Maranoa, David Littleproud has welcomed the decision, saying “Charities do not invade people’s privacy and encourage illegal behaviour. Our farmers deserve respect for putting the best food in the world on our dinner tables.”
