The Palaszczuk government has rejected an inquiry into the Queensland bushfires of which firefights have battled over 2000 of already this season.

Opposition leader, Deb Freckington asked for the inquiry to examine the fire service's responsibility to order landowners to reduce fuel loads as well as reduction burns on state-controlled land and national parks.

Fire and Emergency Services Minister Craig Crawford says he opposed the inquiry because he already ordered experts to conduct a review, and they meet high standards and avoid unnecessary bureaucracy.

"Last month I requested the inspector-general of emergency management to undertake a thorough investigation into the state's emergency response to the September bushfires and the rest of the bushfire season," Mr Crawford said.
