A bushfire near Murray, south of Perth is threatening a number of lives and homes.
An alert issued at 1.30am this Western Australian time by Western Australia’s DFES says the bushfire is out of control and warned residents need to act immediately to survive.
The shire of Murray has opened up a temporary evacuation centre at Murray Aquatic and Leisure Centre, at 16 Camp Road in Pinjarra.
Residents are advised: “Only essential items can be taken into these centres. Alcohol and pets, except guide and assistance dogs, are prohibited.”
