Tree loss in Brisbane suburbs is leading to residents experiencing higher temperatures and in some cases, higher energy bills.
"Some of the research indicates up to three degrees, in some circumstances that can be as high as six to seven degrees centigrade," Landscape architect Libby Gallagher states.
This has a major impact on lower socio-economic areas and renters as they are often unable to plant trees themselves.
