More than 76 thousand people are attempting to travel to Europe following President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s decision to open the Turkish side of the border.
The decision was made to open the border after an airstrike on Thursday night which resulted in the killing of 33 Turkish soldiers.
A spokesperson for European Border and Coast Guard Agency, Frontex, says the security level for all Turkish borders has been raised to high.
