Extinction Rebellion Brisbane protestors

 

Three people will appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court at 9 am today after being arrested 6th August last year for blocking traffic on an Extinction Rebellion day of protest.

 

 Holly Porter, Emma Dorge, Greg Rolles and Clancey Maher are making the case they "acted out of necessity for their futures" saying "climate change is an extraordinary emergency which warrants acts of peaceful disobedience."

 

 The charges of Pedestrian Obstructing Roadways and Obstructing Police and the court case are expected to last one or two days.
