The Brisbane Queer Film Festival, will be opening for its twenty first year tomorrow, with a screening of ‘Young Hunter’ at seven pm at New Farm Cinemas. 

The film festival has become an iconic part of the Brisbane LGBTQI+ community, with over 60,000 film lovers attending the event, since its inception. 

Managers of BQFF said “It’s wonderful to see the rest of society slowly catching up - with more mainstream ways for us to see ourselves represented. With still so much more to be done, we are humbled to still be here and value the past 21 years of holding space…
