The Queensland University of Technology Art Museum is preparing for its upcoming exhibition launch this Saturday.

The exhibition, titled Rite of Passage, features artists’ responses to the significance of events surrounding conflicts during Captain James Cook’s arrival on Australian soil two-hundred-and-fifty (250) years ago.

The open day features panel discussions and talks with exhibition curator, Shannon Brett.

Brett says culture is a strength and a force that runs through the veins of Aboriginal people. The open day will begin at 10 AM on Saturday 7th with free admission.
