The Palaszcuk Government is delivering on their election promise to increase firefighter numbers across the state with the announcement of twenty-nine new firefighter allocations yesterday.
The new recruits will be stationed at communities most affected by bushfires.
Before the last election, the Palazscuk government made a commitment to deliver 100 new Fire and Rescue firefighters.
Fire and Emergency Services Minister Craig Crawford said the increases in permanent firefighter numbers will ensure there are resources to support growing local communities and the number of operations in their area.
