Facebook is removing President Donald Trump’s re-election campaign ads as they violate the company’s policy against misinformation on the government’s census.

The ads asked users to fill out an “Official 2020 Congressional District Census” and also linked to a page asking for donations.

The online newsletter Popular Information, which first reported on the ads, says Facebook originally determined they did not violate its policy but after civil rights advocates kept pushing for the ads to be removed the company re-reviewed the content and removed the posts.
