Approximately 27 people in Iran have died after attempting to prevent the coronavirus.
Spokeswoman of Ahwaz University of Medical Sciences Ali Ehsanpour says the citizens of Ahwaz were told that drinking alcohol could help fight the infection.
The victims from Khuzestan and Alborz provinces of Iran have died from alcohol poisoning.
