The proposed plans for the pedestrian walk bridge, linking Kangaroo Point and the Botanical Gardens, will need to be redesigned if state governments approve the new superyacht docking trial.

Disagreements between state governments and City Hall, were sparked on Wednesday, after reports revealed a trial allowing the superyachts to dock below Kangaroo Point Cliffs.

Lord Mayor, Adrian Schrinner, announced that the one hundred and ninety million dollar pedestrian and cyclist bridge would span across that section of the Brisbane River.

He suggested that superyacht docking should be done elsewhere as to avoid the added expenses and increased footprint that would be required to elevate the bridge.
