The Dow Jones stock market index has indicated that US stocks have plunged, ending an 11-year rise amid fears of a Coronavirus pandemic.
The pandemic has spread across the US with more than 500 people infected across 30 states.
According to the Dow Jones Industrial Average, the market has now fallen 20% from its most recent highs.
At a presidential news conference on Monday, US President Donald Trump came up with plans such as payroll tax cuts and relief for hourly workers to support individuals and industries in danger.
