Three members of the White House coronavirus task force - including the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Dr. Anthony Fauci - have quarantined after coming into contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19.

The director of the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Robert Redfield and the commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, Stephen Hahn are also quarantining.

Fauci’s institute said he has tested negative for the virus but will continue to be tested regularly and take necessary precautions.

Mike Pence’s press secretary Katie Miller also tested positive for the virus last week.
