People travelling to the United Kingdom will be asked to download a tracking app before crossing the border.
The app will help monitor Coronavirus infections in a similar way to Australia's COVIDSafe app. The program uses Bluetooth technology to measure the distance between phones, which in turn determines how closely people might be spaced. If a person contracts the virus, they are asked through the app to inform the NHS and then an alert is sent to anyone who has come into close contact with that person.
