The antimalarial drug hydroxychloroquine will be trialled as a means to ward off coronavirus amongst high-risk health workers in Australia.
Recently, the drug has been a topic of discussion after US president Donald Trump endorsed its use as a preventative measure against the novel Coronavirus. Researcher Marc Pellegrini stated that there is "certainly is not any concrete evidence that the drug works”, and “should be only used in clinical trials.”
