Donald Trump has announced ‘Antifa’, a term used for far-left anti-fascist groups, will be designated as a terrorist organisation.
The announcement comes in the wake of protests against the in death custody of unarmed black man, George Floyd. Trump stated in a recent tweet that states must quote “get much tougher” on anti-police protests.
Antifa groups monitor local fascist activities and resist far-right groups including white supremacists and neo-nazis.
