Brisbane City Council is set to receive $5 million in council allocations from the $200 million  COVID Works for Queensland program, as a means of reviving the workforce in the city.

Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk said the allocation would lead to more job opportunities across the city and wider region, supporting or creating up to 8000 jobs in the state.

Palaszczuk stated that “The allocation to Brisbane City Council will see projects delivered that will have long-term economic benefits and increase liveability in our communities.”
