Families in Peru are selling their possessions to raise funds for overpriced oxygen tanks as the country is running out of oxygen for COVID-19 patients.
 
Hospitals are suffering from a large toll as a result of underfunded hospitals, corruption, and poor management of the COVID-19 situation. 
 
Defence Minister Walter Martos said Peru ‘needs 173 tons of oxygen per day’, however, the dean of the Medical College of Peru suggested ‘the nation is producing about 20% of that’.
