More than 600,000 Hong Kong citizens have cast their vote over the weekend in protest against the controversial new security law.
Observers say that while the vote was only for voters in Hong Kong’s opposition camp, the turnout will serve to test broader public opinion about the security law.
The unofficial poll will decide pro-democracy candidates to contest September elections to Hong Kong’s legislative council.
