The National Farmer’s Federation have called for Australia to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050.
President Fiona Simson says her members, comprised of industry and state agriculture groups, overwhelmingly support the proposal.
The organisation’s target is more ambitious than Prime Minister Scott Morrison's, who has previously committed to achieving zero net emissions sometime in the second half of the century.
