Warakurna is Australia's first entirely Indigenous-run police station

It is a focus for the station to consider the opinions of its community by organising meetings for locals to discuss and collaborate on resolutions for local affairs.

Officers Wendy Kelly and Revis Ryder are using cultural ties to gain the trust of their community and approach long standing issues between police officers and Indigenous Australians.
