In international news, the former Indian president Pranab Mukherjee has died after testing positive to COVID-19.
The health authorities stated 84 year old Mukherjee contracted a lung infection which then put him into septic shock, and from there his medical condition worsened.
Current Indian Prime Minister Narenda Modi tweeted his gratitude to Mukherjee, stating “he has left an indelible mark on the development trajectory of our nation.”
