On Sunday morning, the police were called to a private address after reports of a disturbance at Ranora Avenue, but were confronted with a man in possession of a bladed weapon and shot him multiple times.
Police said they didn’t have time to deploy their tasers because the man ran at them as they got out of the car.
The shooting will be investigated by the Queensland Police Ethical Standards Command, and the Crime and Corruption Commission.
