Researchers at the University of Queensland suggest that people turn to eating jellyfish as a sustainable and healthy alternative.

The researchers found 92 endangered and 11 critically endangered species of seafood were caught around the world with some served up as "fish", "flake" or "cod".

Marine biologist Lisa-ann Gershwin says jellyfish have long been considered a luxury in China, Japan and Korea, and offer considerable nutritional value being both a solid source of protein and fat-free.
