The United Kingdom has recorded the highest number of daily coronavirus cases since mass testing began.
Six thousand six hundred and thirty four cases were confirmed in one day, bringing the overall number of cases to over 400 000.
Confirmed cases in the UK have been steadily rising since July, however surveillance data suggests that only half of cases are being identified.
