Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk announced yesterday that the Queensland Government will provide two thousand and twenty five additional police personnel over the next five years.

This will be the biggest change to Queensland police resourcing in almost 30 years.

The Premier stated these changes are in response to the heavy demand for police since the COVID-19 pandemic, and will support the Queensland Police Service Commissioner’s vision  for the QPS to become an even more responsive, agile and effective policing service.
