Kyle Magee has stopped work at Adani’s Abbott Point coal terminal this morning by locking himself to coal loading infrastructure to protest the impacts of the coal industry on the environment.
He stated his actions are in response to the inaction of the government to diminish the coal industry impacts on Australia, and denounced that instead of being in “severe damage control”, we are continuing business as usual.
This protest follows the “Global Climate Strike” that students all over the world took part in to demand their government transition away from fossil fuels.
