Melbourne followed Victoria’s roadmap to easing coronavirus restrictions and ended its curfew after improvements in the number of cases in the state.

People can now gather outdoors to a limited number of five people from up to two households, some businesses will be able to reopen as well and outdoors weddings and funerals will be made possible for a limited number of people.

Restrictions remained pretty strict, as people still have to wear masks at all times that cover both the mouth and the nose, the 5-kilometer radius limit still applies and the bars and restaurants are still limited to take-away.
