One person has died and two others have been hospitalised following a construction incident at the Curtin University in Perth.

The 23 year old was working on a construction site at the university when the roof of the building under construction collapsed. The cause for the incident is yet to be established with the Western Australia Police Commissioner  explained that the workers were on the buildings canopy carrying out work when the roof suddenly and without warning gave way to a 20 meter drop.

Mick Buchan the state secretary of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining and Energy Union has stated the union was unaware of any issues on site but believes enough is enough as another young worker has lost their life today.
