Australia border control has been trying to keep COVID-19 out but struggle to bring home residents.

Minister Alan Tudge conceded earlier this month saying, it would take years for migrants to come back in large numbers as quarantine requirements have created a backlog of people trying to return.

The government expects to bring back 27, 000 Australians home by the end of the year, that’s 7,000 per week - leaving many in limbo
