Just a few days after footballer Diego Maradona’s death, the Argentinian police investigated his doctor, Leopoldo Leuque in search of elements that would prove potential medical negligence.

The footballer died of a heart attack last week, just a month after he undertook a brain operation in which Dr Leuque was involved in.

The search order was requested by prosecutors in the affluent Buenos Aires suburb of San Isidro and signed by a local judge, but the prosecutor's office provided no information on what prompted the investigation.
