The first sitting for the 2021 Federal Parliament has been disrupted by the recent case of COVID-19 found in WA after politicians from the state boarded their flights to Canberra.

While onboard, all passengers on board the flights were instructed to take a COVID-19 test and stay in self-isolation for five days even if the test came back negative. Passengers included several senior federal politicians including Defence Minister Linda Reynolds.

Parliament is still expected to sit tomorrow, but ministers will have to adapt to the changes.
